Rules of Play

Eligibility

  • Ticket purchasers must be 18 years or older to enter the MLSE
  • Foundation Catch the Ace Raffle.
  • Ticket purchasers must be located in Ontario at the time of purchase.
  • The following persons are prohibited from purchasing tickets in the
    • MLSE Foundation Catch the Ace Raffle:
    • MLSE Foundation staff and Board of Directors
    • Employees of registered gaming suppliers

Ticket Sales

  1. Tickets must be purchased in the province of Ontario.
  2. Tickets may be purchased online at MLSEFCTA.com and in person on Coca-Cola Coliseum.
  3. Tickets will be available immediately following the previous weekly draw.
  4. The Progressive Pot will be guaranteed at $500.00. The weekly pot will start at $0 for each draw.
  5. Tickets are available at the following bundle prices:
    1. $10 for 3
    2. $20 for 10
    3. $50 for 50
  6. Ticket purchasers will select a virtual envelope number from the remaining unopened envelopes available at the time of purchase. Each envelope contains a hidden playing card from a standard 52 card deck. The number of envelopes available for selection begins with 52 and declines by one each week that the envelope selected by the Weekly Prize winner reveals a playing card other than the Ace of Spades.
  7. Each purchaser will select a single envelope. The selected envelope will be associated with all tickets included in the ticket order. Multiple envelopes may not be selected within a single ticket order.
  8. There is no limit to the number of tickets available.
  9. All tickets will be delivered via email for online purchases and printed for in-person purchases. It is the responsibility of the ticket purchaser to ensure that they receive their ticket(s).

Draws, Prizes and Winners

 

  1. Ticket sales will conclude each Saturday at 5 pm, at which time all qualified tickets will be confirmed.
  2. A single ticket number will be selected each week by a Random Number Generation (RNG) program, from all raffle ticket numbers sold during the week leading up to the draw. The draw will be electronically conducted.
  3. Each weekly draw winner will receive a single cash prize equal to 20 percent of all ticket sales collected during the week. Following the weekly draw, the playing card within the envelope associated with the winning ticket order will be revealed.
  4. If the envelope associated with the winning weekly draw ticket reveals the Ace of Spades, the weekly draw winner will also receive the Catch the Ace Progressive Jackpot, consisting of 30 percent of all ticket sales collected over all weeks. The MLSE Foundation Catch the Ace Raffle is then concluded.
  5. If the envelope associated with the winning weekly draw ticket reveals any playing card other than the Ace of Spades, 30 percent of the ticket sales for the week will be added to the Progressive Jackpot. All tickets from the previous week are then voided and ticket sales commence for the next weekly draw.
  6. The winning ticket number will be posted at MLSEFoundation.org and on the raffle storefront, following each weekly draw, along with the weekly prize amount and the revealed playing card associated with the weekly winning ticket. Winners that bought their tickets online will also be notified by phone. Winners that bought their tickets in-person must contact the MLSE Foundation and present the winning ticket for validation.
  7. The MLSE Foundation reserves the right to satisfy itself as to the validity of any ticket that is presented as a winning ticket, by means of such authentication and validation tests, requirements and procedures as it may from time to time determine, and to declare that a ticket which does not pass, meet, or fulfill such tests, requirements or procedures is void. Concurrently with a winning ticket being presented to the MLSE Foundation, whether for the purpose of validation or for the purpose of claiming a prize, all right, title and interest in and to the ticket is thereby relinquished by the winner and property in the ticket passes to the MLSE Foundation.
  8. All prizes must be claimed within 6 months of the relevant draw unless otherwise specified by the MLSE Foundtion thereafter any unclaimed prizes must be secured or placed in safekeeping by the MLSE Foundation for a period of six (6) months from the date of the draw. If at the expiry of six (6) months the prize has not been claimed, the prize monies will be donated by the MLSE Foundation to a beneficiary approved in advance by the Registrar.
  9. MLSE Foundation may refuse to send or forward a prize to an address outside Ontario and will not send or forward a prize to an address in any jurisdiction where such sending or forwarding is prohibited by law.
  10. Neither a prize (or portion thereof), nor any entitlement or payment relating to it, may be assigned, transferred, sold, loaned, leased, rented, pledged, mortgaged or hypothecated, by any winner.
  11. The MLSE Foundation is not responsible for providing financial or tax advice.
  12. The MLSE Foundation will not award a prize for tickets which are void unless the MLSE Foundation in its discretion, deems it appropriate to do so. Tickets are void if lost, stolen, unissued, illegible, mutilated, damaged, altered, counterfeited or forged, miscut, misregistered, defective, misprinted, cancelled, produced in error and not recorded in the on-line system, incomplete, not paid for, destroyed or issued, acquired or presented, in, or upon, violation of these Rules, or the Game Conditions. Void tickets are the property of the MLSE Foundation.
  13. Ticket holders do not have to be present at the draws in order to win or to claim their prize.
  14. The winner must provide their full name, address and phone number upon claiming their prize.

General

  1. 1. By purchasing a ticket in the MLSE Foundation Catch the Ace Raffle, the purchaser acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these rules. All inquiries regarding the conduct, chance of winning, prizing or procedures of lotteries are to be made to the MLSE Foundation, prior to the purchase of a ticket.
  2. All orders will be processed and fulfilled using the BUMP raffle management platform. In the event of any discrepancy, the records of BUMP shall be deemed correct and final. MLSE Foundation, is responsible for the conduct and management of the raffle. The liability of the licensee shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket.

Privacy


1. By claiming a prize, winner consents to the use of their likeness/photograph, first and last name, ticket number, city/town of residence and the audio/video recording (or written transcription) of the winner notification telephone call, for any publicity purposes by the MLSE Foundation. MLSE Foundation, respects the privacy of its raffle supporters; we do not sell, rent, or trade our supporter lists. The information we collect is used to process raffle ticket purchases, keep our supporters informed about the activities of MLSE Foundation, and ask for their support of our mission.
